The webinar “Fintech: The Indian Financial Sector Experience” is a knowledge-sharing initiative focused on best practices in the fintech industry.

Annika S. Rowe, MBA, is an experienced consultant with over 25 years of expertise across Education, Disaster Management, and Finance. She is a skilled researcher and has recently served as a Jamaica Country Researcher for an NGO based in Bridgetown, Barbados.
In addition to her consulting work, she creates personalized acrostic poems for corporate and personal gifts, with proceeds supporting charitable causes. Annika is also an internationally published writer and the founder of the NGO Uncommon Arts, which she has led for 19 years, focusing on social impact and community development.
The webinar was conceptualized by Annika Simone Rowe as a Jamaican financial sector initiative to promote fintech knowledge sharing. She is an affiliate member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Jamaica.
This initiative is a joint venture with W3care Technologies Pvt. Ltd., India, an IT company specializing in customized software development and business IT solutions.

2.0. RATIONALE
Jamaica’s Prime Minister, The Most Honourable Andrew Holness, recently visited India and described the trip as a “resounding success.”
According to a Jamaica Observer article, he stated:
“We are crafting a south–south partnership with India to accelerate our technological advancement to support our economic development.”
The Prime Minister highlighted the potential benefits for Jamaica’s financial sector from this collaboration.
India, as one of the most populous countries in the world, has successfully used fintech to promote financial inclusion across a diverse population. Its financial sector operates at a large scale and offers valuable lessons.
Both India and Jamaica can benefit from sharing knowledge, best practices, and market insights to strengthen their financial ecosystems.
