Overview

First5 Contra Costa is a nonprofit community initiative focused on early childhood development, family resources, and support programs designed to strengthen parent engagement and child well-being. The project required a digital platform that clearly communicates mission, program information, community resources, and engagement pathways for families and partners.

Rather than building a simple informational site, the objective was to create a structured, responsive, and accessible WordPress platform that supports usability, resource discovery, and long-term community support goals. This project highlights our expertise in building nonprofit websites that balance clarity, performance, and audience connection.

Our Role

We designed and developed the First5 Contra Costa website with emphasis on accessibility, content organisation, and ease of navigation. The layout was crafted to help families, educators, and partners quickly find relevant programs, resources, and services.

The site was developed using responsive web development practices to ensure excellent performance across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. Structured content sections, clear calls-to-action, and SEO foundations were implemented to improve discoverability and engagement.

Special attention was given to readability, clean typography, and intuitive user journeys to enhance the user experience for diverse audiences.

Result
